The Art Jewellers Guild (Designers eGuild) Story

The Designers' eGuild was formed, appropriately, from a spontaneous polarisation of British artisan jewellers online. We became exasperated by the Far East sweatshop imitations of our work, and those closer to home who sought to imitate, and profit from, our ideas. All of which, although flattering, did not offer the durability, and attention to detail of the originals.

A peer-based forum on eBay was formed by Peta King of Black Pearlz Studio, where potential Members were carefully scrutinised before invitation. The forum became the foundation of the Designers eGuild, and the Guild has developed into a collection of both established and new designers who want to share their ideas and expertise. So this website was a natural progression! FunkyMum designed our, literally, striking logo, and we haven't stopped the sparks of inspiration since!

The Guild Criteria are: originality, a commitment to the best craftsmanship, sensible pricing, and a superior sensitivity to client requirements.
